The fifth generation of the Samsung Galaxy Watch is officially announced. The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Series will be available with three size options namely 40mm, 44mm and 45mm.

Features of Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Series

There are two models of the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Series. These include the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro. The difference is, the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro is only available in one size, namely 45mm. The body material is also different. For standard version with Aluminum Armor and Pro version with Titanium.

In the design sector, both are still similar to the previous generation, the Galaxy Watch4 . The round screen is accompanied by two navigation buttons on the right side of the body.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Series comes with a Super AMOLED display panel. The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 44mm and Galaxy Watch5 Pro 45mm have 1.4-inch screens. Meanwhile, the 40mm Galaxy Watch5 has a smaller 1.2-inch screen.

All variants of the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Series for the first time have a screen reinforced with a layer of crystal sapphire glass. So, it is more scratch resistant about 60%. In addition, the body design is also waterproof with 5ATM standards. Its toughness is in accordance with American military standards MIL-STD-810H.

Then what about the specifications? The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Series is powered by the Exynos W920 chipset. It supports 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The specifications are still the same as the Galaxy Watch4 Series. The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Series also directly runs the One UI Watch 4.5 interface.

This smart watch navigation system is supported by sensors that can connect to GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou satellites. In addition, there is support for compass sensors, barometer, temperature, accelorometer, gyro and light sensors. An option with LTE is also available.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Series also brings updates in the battery sector. For the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 40mm the battery is 284mAh and 410mAh for the 44mm model. The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro has a 590mAh battery. The largest among all Samsung Galaxy Watch models. It also supports fast recharge feature. Charging for 8 minutes can be used up to about 8 hours.
