Samsung has launched a monitor for content creation again. This latest monitor is the S80TB which is included in the ViewFinity monitor line.
Features of Samsung S80TB ViewFinity
The S80TB ViewFinity comes with a 27-inch IPS panel whose resolution is 4K 3840 x 2160 pixels. This monitor has many similarities to the ViewFinity S8 (S80PB) which was launched last June. The difference is, ViewFinity S8 (S80PB) is available with two panel sizes, namely 27 inches and 32 inches. Meanwhile, the S80TB ViewFinity is only one size, namely 27 inches.

Another difference is in connectivity. The S80TB ViewFinity carries two Thunderbolt 4 and Ethernet ports. Making it even more ideal for supporting workflows with two monitors. The Thunderbolt port can also supply power with an output of up to 90W. In addition to the Thunderbolt port on this monitor, you can find DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0 input and three USB ports.

Unfortunately, Samsung did not divulge in more detail the standard color coverage it supports. If you use the same panel as the previous ViewFinity S8 (S80PB), it means that the panel already supports the 98% DCI-P3 color gamut. The S80TB ViewFinity will also support HDR10, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and a screen brightness of up to 350 nits.

For other features, there is integrated speaker support, five color mode options (Custom, High Bright, sRGB, Cinema, Dynamic Contrast), and the panel is safe for the eyes with TUV Rheinland certification.
Price and availability
The Samsung S80TB ViewFinity is currently available at a price of US $650.
