Smart Home Device Control Center with Wireless Charging Mat Feature

Complementing the smart home ecosystem, Samsung announced the presence of SmartThings Station. This device is a hub or control center for controlling smart home devices in the SmartThings ecosystem. Including, devices with the Matter protocol which is the new standard for smart home devices.

To use this device is very easy. Users only need to turn on SmartThings Station. Then, a pop up message will appear on the user’s Samsung Galaxy cellphone to help the user complete the connection process. Users can also connect more quickly by scanning a QR code.

Various devices such as temperature controllers, lights, sockets, air purifiers and many more can be directly controlled by this device without the need to open the SmartThings application on your smartphone.

SmartThings Station can also allow users to create three different routines by simply pressing the Smart Button and helps users locate registered devices. From smartphones, tablets, watches, and earbuds to personal items like keys or wallets that have a Galaxy SmartTag or SmartTag+ attached.

Interestingly, apart from functioning as a control center, this device also features a 15W wireless charging mat. So, it can be used to recharge the battery of devices that already support the wireless charging feature.

Samsung SmartThings Station Price

There is no further information on the price of the SmartThings Station later on the market. However, this device will certainly be available in the US and Korean markets. For the United States market starting in early February 2023. There are two color choices, namely black and white.
