Samsung adds one SSD variant to the T-Series portable SSD line. The latest model is the T7 Shield. The T-Series SSD from Samsung is one of the most popular portable SSDs among photographers and videographers. There are two advantages, namely a compact design and fast performance.

Samsung T7 Shield USB-C SSD Features

Now, through the T7 Shield, Samsung adds one more advantage, namely a tough body design. The T7 Shield comes with a body designed to be durable. The body is wrapped in a layer of silicone rubber which makes it resistant to drops from a height of up to 3 meters. The body is also dust and water resistant with an IP65 rating. Interestingly, even though it is wrapped in silicone rubber, Samsung still guarantees that this SSD has cool performance when used. So, it will not affect its performance.

For specifications there is nothing different from the original version. The Samsung T7 Shield is still equipped with an SSD chip made by Samsung with reads up to 1050 MB/s and writes up to 1000 MB/s. Enough to accommodate the storage of high-resolution photos and videos with large file sizes. For connectivity, it relies on a USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB-C connection. In the sales package, Samsung provides two cable options, including USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables.
