Samsung kicked off early 2023 with the release of the ViewFinity S9 monitor. This monitor is the successor to the ViewFinity S8 which emphasizes high resolution and color accuracy. Suitable for professionals in creative fields such as photographers, videographers and graphic designers.
Fitur Samsung ViewFinity S9
ViewFinity S9 comes with a minimalist design similar to the Samsung M8 Smart Monitor. So, it looks different with ViewFinity S8. For panel sizes, there is only one size available, namely 27 inches.
Apart from the different designs, the ViewFinity S9 and ViewFinity S8 are in the panel resolution. The ViewFinity S9 5K panel resolution is 5120 x 2880 pixels. The color accuracy is also better. This monitor promises 99% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage with a Delta E color accuracy rating of less than 2.
Samsung has also embedded the Color Calibration Engine feature. This smart feature can make it easier for users to perform color calibration. You do this with the help of the Samsung Smart Calibration application on your cellphone. That way, the color output can be ensured that it is always accurate.
For other features, the ViewFinity S9 is equipped with a USB-C and Thunderbolt 4 port. In addition, there is support for a 4K SlimFit camera that can be used for video conferencing.
Price and availability
This monitor will make its debut at CES 2023. There is no official information on when and how much the ViewFinity S9 will cost on the market. At least, the presence of the ViewFinity S9 can be a challenger to the Apple Studio Display monitor , whose panel also measures 27 inches with a 5K resolution.
