Sony launched its newest TWS called the Sony WF-1000XM5. There are many improvements compared to the previous generation, especially in the increasingly sophisticated Noise Canceling sector. Like what?
Features of the Sony WF-1000XM5
According to Sony, the WF-1000XM5 offers a significant upgrade in terms of noise canceling technology. This audio device has three microphones in each earbud, including dual feedback microphones that can enhance noise canceling performance for low frequencies.
In addition, the WF-1000XM5 is armed with Processor V2 which is claimed to unlock the potential of the HD Noise Canceling Processor QN2e. This chip controls the microphone between the two earbuds, for optimized noise cancellation that can adapt as the user moves from one location to another.
No less interesting, the Sony WF-1000XM5 supports High-Resolution Audio Wireless via the LDAC codec, as well as DSEE Extreme for real-time upscaling of music. Users are also presented with 360 Reality Audio features complete with head tracking capabilities.
Sony promises that its new TWS will be able to provide the best voice call experience thanks to the Deep Neural Network (DNN) based AI noise reduction algorithm. According to Sony, call quality is clear and natural even in noisy environments.

Design-wise, the WF-1000XM5 is 25 percent smaller and 20 percent lighter than the WF-1000XM4. Users are given 4 sizes of eartips to get the feeling of wearing the most fit in the ear. It is IPX4 certified for splash resistance.
TWS also supports notifications from various applications such as Spotify, Endel, and Apple Music. In terms of power, Sony claims that it can last up to 8 hours on a single charge. Charging 3 minutes allows for 1 hour of use.
