ASUS has just launched the ROG Strix Scar 17 SE gaming laptop. High-end specifications and a line of premium can be found on this laptop. In fact, ROG Strix Scar 17 SE managed to become the most powerful gaming laptop in the world. Let’s see what the advantages are.

1. First with Intel Core i9-12950HX processor

ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 SE is the first gaming laptop with an Intel Core i9-12950HX processor which is the most powerful laptop CPU in the world. The processor is also supported by 32GB of RAM and PCIe 4.0 SSD storage space with a capacity of up to 2TB. For faster performance, the SSD supports RAID 0 configuration.

2. Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 175W Graphics Card

Sophistication is not only in the processor. In the graphics sector, ASUS embeds Nvidia’s highest caste graphics card, the GeForce RTX 3080Ti. What’s special is that this very fast GPU has improved its performance with a maximum TGP of 175W through Dynamic Boost. So, don’t be surprised if this gaming laptop is able to offer performance equivalent to a Desktop PC and is able to run all AAA PC games well at high resolution.

3. 240 Hz QHD screen

Gamers’ eyes will also be spoiled with a QHD 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution screen with a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 3 milliseconds. The screen is also supported by Dolby Vision technology and Adaptive Sync so as to ensure a comfortable gaming experience without stuttering and tearing effects.

4. MUX Switch for maximum gaming performance

Just like other ROG 2022 laptops, ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition has also been equipped with a MUX Switch to deliver maximum gaming performance. MUX Switch is a special chip that can switch the display processing data path directly to the available GeForce RTX graphics chip. Compared to using other switching methods, MUX Switch can cut latency and increase framerate in games. MUX Switch can be accessed via the Armory Crate application.

5. Advanced cooling system

To support its very fast performance, ASUS presents the ROG Intelligent Cooling cooling system. This cooling system is supported by the use of liquid metal as a thermal compound on the CPU and GPU. Not just any liquid metal, ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition uses Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Extreme which can provide operational temperatures of up to 15?C compared to standard thermal compounds made from silicon.

The ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition cooling system is also equipped with a specially designed vapor chamber to help cool all components in it. The vapor chamber coats 48.8% of the ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition mainboard so as to allow the cooling process for every component starting from the CPU, GPU, VRM, VRAM, can run optimally. Directly connected to the dedicated vapor chamber is a copper heatsink that is precisely designed for optimal heat dissipation.

Heat dissipation is also assisted by two Arc Flow fans which are able to provide better airflow and have lower noise levels compared to the fan technology in previous generation ROG laptops.

6. Cool design with Invisible Ink

In ROG Strix Scar 17 ASUS added a feature in the form of “invisible ink” engraved on the body. The invisible ink can only be seen when the body of the ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition is exposed to UV light. The invisible ink display on the ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition body is also specially designed and has instructions for gamers to complete the SCAR Runner challenges in the ROG Citadel XV game which is available for free on Steam.
