Acer announced the presence of the latest version of its environmentally friendly laptop, namely the Acer Aspire Vero 15 AV15-53P . Still prioritizing recycled materials, this laptop is now armed with the 13th generation Intel Core processor.

In a press release received by alomaki, Thursday (27/4), it was explained that apart from relying on the 13th Generation Intel Core processor, the Aspire Vero 15 is also supported by Intel Iris Xe graphics. Laptops also have Intel Evo certification which promises high responsiveness, long battery life, fast charging, instant wake, and smart collaboration.
The screen measures 15.6 inches with a Full HD 16:9 IPS panel and 100% sRGB, which means it is ideal for both enjoying entertainment and work. On the front, Acer has embedded a 1440p QHD camera complete with Acer PurifiedView and PurifiedVoice technology, as well as AI Noise Reduction technology for a clearer conference call experience.
Supported by Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, the Aspire Vero 15 offers a wide selection of ports including two Thunderbolt 4/USB Type-C, two USB3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, DC in, and an audio jack port. The memory is LPDDR5 with a capacity of up to 16 GB and the storage supports two M.2 SSDs up to 1 TB.
What’s interesting is the matter of environmentally friendly materials. The Aspire Vero 15 was designed incorporating more recycled materials and minimizing waste by increasing the device’s lifespan. Compared to the previous generation of eco-friendly laptops, the percentage of PCR plastic used by the Aspire Vero 15 has increased.
The chassis parts are now made using up to 40% PCR plastics (previously only 30%) and produce 30% less CO2 emissions in chassis production. The chassis is also made without the use of paint and uses non-volatile organic compounds, while the key caps and adapter casing use 50% PCR material. The smooth OceanGlass trackpad also incorporates recycled plastic obtained from the oceans.
The Aspire Vero 15 is packaged in a versatile recycled packaging made from 100% recycled paper and up to 90% recycled cardboard.
