OPPO recently introduced a very interesting feature for its flagship smartphone, the A74. Through a feature called Ram Expansion, you users can easily add and expand RAM capacity to a total of 11 GB!

How to Increase RAM on OPPO A74

For your information, this RAM Expansion feature comes with the latest firmware update (ColorOS 11.1 2021.05.06 CPH2210_11_A.16) in May 2021. If you haven’t received the update, please check first via Settings -> Additional Settings -> then select Software Update.

If you have updated, just follow the steps below:

  • Enter Settings, then select About Phone
  • Choose RAM
  • You will go to the RAM Expansion page. Activate the feature first.
  • What’s interesting, you can choose additional RAM as needed. There are three options, namely 2 GB, 3 GB, or 5 GB.
  • When you have chosen, restart your cellphone.
  • Go back to About Phone, then you will find the RAM capacity added according to the option you chose earlier.

How? It’s easy, right?

Only available on OPPO A74

Please note that with the RAM Expansion feature, OPPO A74 users will enjoy several benefits such as reduced lagging, opening applications faster, and of course smooth performance when multitasking by opening several applications at once.

In Indonesia, currently RAM Expansion is only available for OPPO A74. Of course, it does not rule out the possibility of several other OPPO smartphone series that will have similar features in the future. We’ll just wait!

For those who don’t know, OPPO A74 is a smartphone with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. This slim body device is equipped with a 6.43-inch Full HD + AMOLED screen. The performance itself is supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset. Meanwhile, from the power sector, users are presented with a 5,000 mAh battery complete with 33W Flash Charge technology which can charge up to 100 percent in just 72 minutes.

The OPPO A74 is sold at $243.07  and is available in Prism Black and Midnight Blue color options.
