According to Transcend, JetDrive Lite is an expansion memory card. So, different from SD memory cards in general. This can be seen from the design. Transcend JetDrive Lite is more compact in design. The body design is shorter when compared to standard SD memory cards. Thanks to this design, the Transcend JetDrive Lite will look like it blends directly into the MacBook when it is installed in the memory card reader slot.

Transcend JetDrive Lite is compatible with MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with Retina display. According to the size of the MacBook, Transcend JetDrive Lite is available in various models with different sizes.

There are four models available. These include JetDrive Lite 360, JetDrive Lite 330, JetDrive Lite 130, and JetDrive Lite 350. For compatibility with MacBooks, see the following table.

For capacity options, Transcend JetDrive Lite is available in sizes of 1TB, 512GB, 256GB and 128GB. Featuring COB (chip-on-board) technology, the JetDrive Lite is splash, dust and vibration resistant. This memory card can transfer data with read speeds of up to 95 MB/s and writes of 75 MB/s.

So, even though MacBook Pro is equipped with a memory card reader with the UHS-II standard, the performance of the Transcend JetDrive Lite is only limited to the class of a memory card with the UHS-I standard. It’s not too tight, but it’s sufficient for additional space to store photos and documents.

For other features, Transcend JetDrive Lite is supported by RecoveRX software. This software can be used to restore data that was accidentally deleted.

Price Transcend JetDrive Lite

Transcend JetDrive Lite is now available. The Transcend JetDrive Lite 350 with a 1TB capacity costs US$249 and the cheapest is US$37 for a 128GB capacity.
