Hearing the name ViewSonic, of course you fans of technology devices already know better. Yes! ViewSonic, which is headquartered in California, United States of America, is known as a provider of technology devices that are keen to produce monitors and projectors.

One of the projectors that can steal the show is the ViewSonic M1 mini Plus. From the “mini” frill, this projector does offer convenience to its users, especially for those who frequently present on mobile, in cafes, schools or campuses.

Not just a projector that can fit in your trouser pocket because of its mini size, ViewSonic M1 mini Plus also offers productivity and entertainment. This means that this projector can also be used to have fun with friends or family at home.

Palm Size

The first time Alomaki received this device for a thorough review, of course, it was very surprising. How come! ViewSonic M1 mini Plus is packaged in a sales box that has dimensions of only 18 x 14.5 x 6.5 cm.

On the sales box there is a very clear device name, it says “M1 mini Plus”. In addition, ViewSonic also inserts the words “Lamp Free Smart” and “Pocket Cinema Projector”. There are also pictures of the devices on offer.

When the sales box is opened, you will find a warranty card, remote and unit from the projector. There is also a usage sheet (Quick Start Guide). Apart from that, in the sales box, we will also find a 20W charger head with two detachable plug models.

Yes! This mini projector comes with a remote which is also very mini in size, and you have to save it so you don’t lose it. Why? Because all of the ViewSonic M1 mini Plus projector settings are done from the remote.

However, if the remote is lost, you also don’t need to panic or worry. You can install the ViewSonic vCastSender application onto an Android or iOS-based smartphone. That way, you can also configure or operate the M1 mini Plus via smartphone.

Now! Interestingly, this mini projector comes with a Mint color cast. But, what is no less surprising, these colors can be changed according to your mood. Yes! It takes the form of a plate made of polycarbonate plastic. The other two colors are Yellow and Grey.

Then, what about the dimensions of the M1 mini Plus itself. This device is the size of an adult human palm, or to be more precise, it is 110 x 104 x 27 mm and weighs only 0.28 Kg. Because of this, the projector is easy to hold in one hand or toss in a trouser pocket.

Meanwhile, for other designs, the ViewSonic M1 mini Plus projector already has an integrated and adjustable stand. That way, users no longer need to bother installing this projector if they don’t have a tripod.

Like projectors in general, the M1 mini Plus is also equipped with several ports on its body. This makes the M1 mini Plus easy to connect to various devices. Apart from the HDMI port, you can find USB Type-C and USB-A ports.

Yes! Charging this projector can be done via the USB Type-C port. This means that there is convenience offered by ViewSonic, namely the users of this projector can also use the USB Type-C charger head they already have when buying a smartphone.

Meanwhile, the ON-OFF button is on the back. ViewSonic in its sales package also provides a strap that can be used to tie the M1 mini Plus so that it is secure when traveling, which is attached to the wrist.

No need to worry when turning on this projector then we want to adjust the focus. ViewSonic has equipped the M1 mini Plus with a rotating lever that is placed in the left corner of the device, not far from the projector lamp. We can rotate it until we find the desired focus.

Connectivity via Bluetooth and WiFi

As already mentioned, this mini projector also has a fairly complete port, starting from HDMI, USB Type-C and USB-A. However, what is no less interesting, ViewSonic has also provided the M1 mini Plus with Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.

Of course, this wireless connectivity adds a sense of comfort when you use this projector to connect with other devices, or surf in cyberspace. That way, the portability of this projector is even more visible.

Then, what about the image quality projected by this M1 mini Plus? Alomaki considers that the image projected by this mini projector is quite capable. Moreover, this projector is equipped with Cinema SuperColor + technology.

However, it is highly recommended to use this mini projector in a dark room. Not only that, ViewSonic also equipped the M1 mini Plus with proportioned images, so this projector can automatically adjust the appearance of the light on the wall.

The projected resolution can reach FullHD. Now! One thing that should not be forgotten about the M1 mini Plus is that this device is equipped with speakers made by JBL. The sound produced is also quite clear, and you can adjust the volume via the remote.

Equipped with Entertainment Applications

ViewSonic M1 mini Plus carries the frill “Pocket Cinema Projector”. Of course, that’s not without reason. The reason is, ViewSonic also equips this projector with entertainment applications. Yes! After finishing the presentation, you can immediately play your favorite movies on Netflix or videos on YouTube with friends.

Apart from Netflix and YouTube, through M1 mini Plus, you can also sing along by playing your favorite music on Spotify. Meanwhile, if you want to surf the internet for current viral news, you can access Google Chrome.

Works for mobile presentations or enjoying entertainment with family or friends, then what about the power supply sector from this M1 mini Plus? Yes! This mini-sized projector has been supplied with a 5,000 mAh capacity battery.

Yes! Supplied by a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh, the Alomaki experience using this projector can last up to 1.5 hours. So, it’s good when using the M1 mini Plus to watch movies or listen to music for more than 1.5 hours, this device is still plugged into a power source.

As mentioned above, ViewSonic is marketing the M1 mini Plus with a 20W charger head. Used to charge this projector fully alias 100%, it takes about 2 hours. Meanwhile, ViewSonic claims that this projector’s LED lamp can be used up to 30,000 hours.

Conclusion

In the projector market, ViewSonic always offers many surprises. Now! A surprise that is quite interesting is the presence of the ViewSonic M1 mini Plus. This projector comes with a tiny design the size of an adult’s palm, but still reliable.

Yes! Alomaki considers that the M1 mini Plus is indeed suitable as a projector that can be used by those with high mobility, such as for presentations at cafes or as a tool to help students at school when working on group assignments.

Not just a projector, ViewSonic M1 mini Plus is also equipped with entertainment applications and the need to surf the internet. Using this mini projector is also very easy, because it has Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.

Battery life is also not to be underestimated. The ViewSonic M1 mini Plus projector also has an integrated and adjustable stand. For audio matters, this projector is equipped with speakers made by JBL. The sound produced is also quite audible.

Are you interested in buying it? ViewSonic markets the M1 mini Plus at the ViewSonic Official Store in a number of well-known e-commerce sites. The price offered also doesn’t break the bank, which is only USD $234,99.
