Success with its line of laptops, Xiaomi is now expanding into the desktop PC business. This first desktop PC is a mini PC called Xiomi Mini Host.

Features of Xiaomi Mini Host

Mini Host comes with a very compact design. The dimensions of the body are 112 x 112 x 38 mm or only the size of an adult’s palm. Meanwhile, it weighs only about 437 grams. This Mini PC also looks premium by carrying aluminum body material.

Turning to the kitchen runway sector, the Mini Host is powered by the 12th Generation Intel Core processor, Intel Core i5-1240P. The processor is supported by 16GB of RAM and PCIe 4.0 SSD storage space with a capacity of 512GB.

The good news, the upgrade option is also supported. The RAM can be upgraded up to 64GB. Meanwhile, for storage space, you can install an SSD of up to 4TB capacity. In fact, there is still one M.2 slot that supports SATA SSD 2242 to increase storage space.

One advantage of the Mini Host is its port connectivity. This mini PC has a complete connectivity port even though its dimensions are very compact. For wireless connections, Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 6 are available. Physical connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an Ethernet port, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, and two HDMI ports. With this connectivity, Mini Host can be relied upon for scenarios using more than one monitor. You can connect up to four 4K 60Hz monitors together.

Price and availability

The Xiaomi Mini Host is now available for pre-order in China with prices starting at US$532 from its normal price of US$575.
